Michael Armstrong moves on

Saddened to know Prince George's one and only Michael Armstrong will be moving on this summer. It is our loss and Lax Kw'Alaams' gain. Last heard Michael perform at the Midsummer Festival in Smithers just last week, performing his poetry in the "lead singer" role, backed up by the Vinyl Groove. I think I have heard "Catch is Never Just Catch" at least three times now, and it is still fresh every time. Extract from Michael's e-mail below. I know he will be missed by his drama students as well.

I will be moving in early August to Lax Kw'Alaams (Port Simpson), a Tsimshian community on the north coast near Prince Rupert. I have been offered a very
interesting teaching job there. I understand that I will be able to see the sunset over the Pacific Ocean every night (except those nights when it's raining) from
my livingroom window.

Michael contributed an extract of his play, "Dancing in the Air", to Reflections on Water, and also served as guest editor for the March 2001 Edition
