FanFiction.Net has an Okal Rel Universe listing at http://www.fanfiction.net/book/Okal_Rel_Universe/. Many thanks Catherine! I shared outtakes and other bits and pieces with Catherine and Mel this summer to share with the world as they saw fit.

There's more of the same on the facebook group called "Okal Rel Universe" ... we've got a bunch of Okal Rel pages cropping up on facebook so it can be a bit confusing finding the "Okal Rel Universe" group page. But the group page is where stuff is happening. Mostly.

I've given facebook ORU page admin Catherine T. Vogt a memory stick of outtakes, first drafts, old false starts and experimental sketches that never made it into books ... as well, no doubt, as some earlier versions of bits that did or will ... for her to rummage through and share on the Okal Rel Universe facebook page.

Catherine invites you to share your favorite character descriptions on Awesome Character Descriptions forum on the Okal Rel Universe page in facebook. I contributed a description of Amel from Draft-in-Progress of Part 9: Holy War.

Catherine T. Vogt recently posted this floor plan for Ranar, Lurol and Evert's home on Rire to the Okal Rel Universe Page on Facebook.

Catherine liked Part 5: Far Arena even better the second time around. She also reports the ORU's "Finnish Ambassador" - an exchange student who has since returned home - is enthusiastic about Part 2: Righteous Anger and as excited about Part 6: Avim's Oath coming out in August as we are. :-) Catherine extended hugs to Amel and Erien. I warned her Erien is a bit stand-offish about such things, but I think she knows him well enough to forgive him for that. Amel, of course, is a hug-addict where women are concerned.

Catherine has up a facebook album of action shots from the Pan-Demish Tournament staged at the launch for Part 5: Far Arena, Jul 2, 2009, at the Prince George Public Library.

Now and then I just have to share Catherine's comments on facebook, especially when she's reading a book. I've also enjoyed text messages from Krysia as she reads through Part 5: Far Arena, but those are harder to snip and show. :-)

Catherine posted this to her ORU stuff page on facebook with the following comment:

"I finally got enough of a mental pic of Amel to be able to draw him last night. It's from Far Arena when Alka lands on him, when he's wearing the blue t-shirt and shorts. He's on Rire on the common grass."

Catherine T. Vogt posted this update of the hearths of Fountain Court on facebook on an ORU stuff page. It shows the period circum Part 5: Far Arena. Catherine attends Saturday morning readings, where she's been exposed to draft passages of Part 6: Avim's Oath. The problematic hearths are Gold and Lilac/Blue Hearths. After Part 3: Pretenders, the question of who has what title among the Golden Demish gets thorny - Ev'rel and D'Therd stick handle things. But D'Therd's wife, Tara'n'eel (also D'Ander's half-sister) is the figure head. There's resistance to the idea from the Vestas, as plays out in Part 6: Avim's Oath and was glimpsed in the cranky behavior of Princess Chandra in Part 4: Throne Price. But this is how things stand after Part 4: Throne Price and before the end of Part 6: Avim's Oath.
